From a Baltimore Garage to a Nationwide Operation
Back in 2012, our founder Mike Chen had just finished renovating his first house. He was stunned: the SPC flooring at the big box store cost $4.50/sq ft. The same product — same factory, same specs — cost $2.10/sq ft direct. The markup was 100%+.
So Mike did something about it. He drove a rented truck to a supplier in Pennsylvania, loaded it with 3,000 sq ft of premium SPC, and sold every plank in 48 hours through a Facebook post. That’s how Floor & Wall Depot was born.
Today, we operate out of our 40,000 sq ft warehouse in Baltimore, ship nationwide, and serve homeowners, interior designers, and commercial contractors — all at the same low price. No games. No tiers. Just great floors.
